Dr. Stephen A. Mabry is a Northern Virginia native who attended local public and parochial schools. He is a graduate of Gonzaga College High School and received his B.A. from Boston College.
Professionally, Dr. Mabry is a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry. While at NYU, Dr. Mabry completed a student residency program at Manhattan's Mount Sinai Hospital and was also the recipient of the College of Dentistry's Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Award for Excellence in Oral Comprehensive Care.
While attending NYU, Dr. Mabry was honored to be selected to deliver dental care at the New York University Faculty Dental Practice. The NYU Faculty Practice is operated by the teaching faculty of the University's College of Dentistry.
After graduation from NYU, Dr. Mabry completed his general practice dental residency at Morristown Memorial Hospital in New Jersey. In 2005, Dr. Mabry returned to Morristown Memorial as a member of the attending and teaching dental staff. Additionally, he was in private practice as an associate with two New Jersey Dental practices.
Dr. Mabry is married to Megan Andrews Mabry. Megan was an elementary school psychologist with the New Jersey Public School system until Megan and Stephen completed their relocation to Northern Virginia in the summer of 2007. In the Fall of 2007, Megan and Stephen welcomed Emma Andrews Mabry into their family. Emma was born at Georgetown University Hospital in November 2007.
Given unprecedented advances in dental materials, equipment and treatment methodologies, Dr. Mabry has pursued several post graduate and continuing education programs. This includes the INVISALIGN® system which uses a series of clear, removable aligners to move adult teeth over time to give the patient the smile they want and deserve.
Dr. Mabry has undertaken post graduate work at the Nash Institute for Dental Learning in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Institute offers unique programs that train dentists in the latest cosmetic dentistry techniques and procedures. Dr. Mabry is a member of the Seattle Study Club and its local affiliate, the Northern Virginia Institute for Advanced Dental Education. The organizations provide the operating structure for important peer-to-peer communication, clinical interaction, and interdisciplinary treatment planning in a post-graduate continuing dental education setting. The organization often conducts lectures by Nationally renowned dental arts practioners.
